Who we are
Sicilia en Casa is a private Sicilian chef who cooks in your home, across Medellín and the Aburrá Valley. We're responsible for your data when you write to us.

What data we collect, and why
Right now the site has no forms. Everything starts when you message us on WhatsApp. That's where you give us your name, your phone number, and the date of your event.
We use that for two things: answering you, and planning your dinner or class. Nothing else.
Once we turn on online booking, we'll also ask for your guest count and, if payment is involved, whatever our payment processor needs to charge you. We'll update this policy that same day.
We also track basic site visits: how many people come, which pages they look at. It's general, aggregate information. We don't know who you are unless you write to us.
Your rights under Colombian law
Colombia has a law that protects your personal data: Law 1581 of 2012, known as habeas data. In plain terms: your data belongs to you, not to us.
That law gives you four rights:
- Know what data we hold about you.
- Update it if it's changed.
- Correct it if it's wrong.
- Ask us to delete it.
To use any of these, write to us on WhatsApp or at hola@siciliaencasa.com. We'll answer within a reasonable time, as the law requires.
Who we share your data with
No one, except who we need to serve you:
- WhatsApp/Meta, since that's where we talk.
- Our payment processor, once online booking with payment exists.
- A basic web analytics tool, to see which pages get visited.
We don't sell your data. We don't hand it to anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your WhatsApp conversation while we plan your event, and for a reasonable time after, in case you need to reach us again or something about the service needs sorting out. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.
Cookies and analytics, plainly
We use basic analytics to see how many people visit the site and what catches their attention. We don't build a profile on you or track you across other sites. You can block cookies from your browser if you'd rather.
