This house was born in Catania.
Sicilia en Casa is the project of Emiliano, a Catanese cook who grew up between the Pescheria fish market, long Sunday lunches and the smell of dough resting on the kitchen counter. Cooking, for him, was always a family language before it was a craft.

Sicily, travel and a kitchen in Medellín.
Emiliano came to Medellín looking for a slower life. He fell in love with the city, its people and the paisa hospitality. That warmth reminded him of Sicily.
He soon noticed something: Medellín has good pizza and good pasta, but it was hard to live a Sicilian dinner the way it's lived over there, at home, without rushing. That's how Sicilia en Casa was born. Literally: bringing Sicily into the home of whoever invites us.
Today Sicilia en Casa travels across the city with a portable high-heat oven, hand-picked ingredients and a menu that shifts with the seasons. We cook in El Poblado, Laureles, Envigado and any home in the Valle de Aburrá where people want to sit long at the table.
Honest product
Fresh ingredients, no unnecessary tricks. If a dish isn't right, it doesn't leave the kitchen.
Long table
Everything we cook is meant to be shared. The lingering after-dinner is as important as the main course.
Home over restaurant
We chose to cook in your home because the table talk runs long and nobody checks the time.
